AFIMSC 10th Anniversary

AFIMSC 10th Anniversary

The Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center was established in response to 2013 Department of Defense budget cuts.  Initially conceived as a cost-saving measure, consolidating installation and mission support functions under Air Force Materiel Command, AFIMSC quickly evolved into a crucial organization.  Starting as a provisional headquarters in 2014, AFIMSC officially activated on April 6, 2015, at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.   AFIMSC streamlines processes and delivers comprehensive support to installations worldwide, managing diverse functions ranging from civil engineering and security forces to Airmen and family services.  The organization achieved full operational capability within a year and a half of its activation, demonstrating its effectiveness.

The members of the AFIMSC team are committed to continuing their journey of excellence as the center enters its second decade of operations. Their focus remains this: build the lethality and readiness of the force and take care of Airmen, Guardians, and their families. Internally, the team remains dedicated to pursuing innovations to accelerate delivery of capabilities to the warfighter.

At AFIMSC, we live our motto every day: Your Success is Our Mission!
